Your Job: In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging position as a Public Relation/Marketing Specialist, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of marketing and PR professionals to further the mission of Methodist Health System through effective communication. Should be SEO- and computer-literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and possess skills in videography and photography. Demonstrates strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrates ability to work in a stressful environment and meet deadlines. Maintains confidentiality of information about patients and hospital strategic plans. Demonstrates initiative, with the ability to work well in groups and independently. Job Roles Duty 1: Writing for print and digital external communications, such as consumer-facing magazines, blogs, patient videos and testimonials, and social media Duty 2: Shooting and editing video and still photos for digital platforms, earned media, or publications Duty 3: Writing and editing press releases and handling media pitches Duty 4: Various administrative duties, such as processing vendor invoices, ordering department supplies, and scheduling meetings, among other organizational tasks Duty 5: Assists at community events and media events Duty 6: Other duties as assigned Methodist Health System is a faith-based organization with a mission to improve and save lives through compassionate, quality healthcare.
