About The Position

We’re looking for a self-starting PR professional with strong earned media instincts, cultural fluency, and a clear understanding of what drives headlines, social conversation and influencer engagement. You will lead projects end-to-end, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and agency partners to deliver consistent, top-tier earned media results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field
  • At least 5 years’ experience in external communications; PR agency experience strongly preferred and hospitality brand experience a plus
  • Experience of working within a complex global business with a range of stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of the PR landscape; Strong media relations skills and relationships, especially within consumer, lifestyle media
  • Influencer marketing experiences a strong plus, with an understanding of how social, experiential, and creator-led moments' drive earned media
  • Strong writing skills and highly creative
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple projects
  • Comfortable using reporting, performance data, and analytics to evaluate PR impact and ROI

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver Masterbrand-led PR campaigns that generate coverage to win the hearts and minds of consumers – setting IHG Masterbrand apart from the competition
  • Work as part of consumer PR team to design, develop and deliver integrated communications strategies and plans, partnering with stakeholders to understand business and commercial needs
  • Serve as PR lead for select external partnerships/IHG sponsorships (e.g., US Open, Iberostar Beachfront Resorts); Drive compelling earned media narratives around key partnerships via activation-style campaigns
  • Engage in day-to-day relationships with all PR agency partners, providing clear strategic direction and feedback
  • Coordinate media and influencer stay that help elevate IHG Masterbrand and generate high-quality brand coverage
  • Build strong internal, cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders to drive efficiencies and quick movement on buzzy earned media moments
  • Develop press materials, briefing documents and media assets
  • Effective reporting, performance data and analytics to measure ROI, on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as ad-hoc for specific campaigns.
