About the position

The PPO Biller position at Altais involves working remotely within California to support the PPO Claims Team in managing billing processes. This role is crucial in ensuring the resolution of PPO claim issues and enhancing the overall healthcare experience for patients and providers. The position is temporary, lasting for two months, and offers flexibility in work hours, catering to both part-time and full-time candidates.

Responsibilities

• Resolve all PPO Claim issues satisfactorily within established turnaround times.
• Utilize appropriate reference materials to convey confidence and expertise in claim resolution.
• Research issues and follow up with providers or Customer Service, escalating complicated issues as necessary.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills in a professional manner.
• Collaborate effectively as a team member within the Billing Team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required; some college coursework preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in Revenue Cycle management in an IPA or Professional billing setting.
• 2+ years of knowledge of Claim Clearing house management, such as Change Health.
• 2+ years of understanding and application of ICD-10, RVS, CPT codes, and basic medical terminology.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of experience in Revenue Cycle management in an IPA or Professional billing setting.
• Working experience using Epic Resolute Practice Management System.
• 5+ years of understanding and application of ICD-10, RVS, CPT codes, and basic medical terminology.
