MOR PPM Inc. is seeking qualified outage workers for a welding position located in Hallam, Nebraska. This position is set to begin in October 2024 and is part of a larger outage project. The primary responsibility of the PPM Welder will be to perform structural welding tasks, which include planning, laying out, installing, and repairing various types of structural steel products. The work will be conducted in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The welder will be required to work on both new and pre-existing structures, ensuring that all welding tasks meet the highest quality and safety standards. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate proficiency in reading and understanding plans and specifications, including diagrams, prints, orthographic, and isometric drawings. This role requires the ability to visualize two-dimensional drawings in three dimensions, which is critical for effective execution of welding tasks. Additionally, candidates must pass a three-position welding test that includes horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions. This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as the stamina to perform technical duties in various environments. Safety is a top priority, and all craft workers are required to have OSHA 10 certification prior to arriving on site. Training for this certification can be completed online, and access codes will be provided by PPM Site Management. The position also includes a per diem of $166 paid for seven days, with specific documentation requirements to verify the permanent address of the worker. Additional travel compensation is available for those with a permanent address greater than 200 miles from the job site. A completion bonus is also offered for meeting safety, attendance, and compliance site rules throughout the assignment.
