About The Position

GRADE 15 LOCATION OF POSITION Annapolis, Maryland POSITION DUTIES The PPI Associate provides research, programmatic, and administrative support to the five units within the Policy, Public Work, Investment (PPI) division: Board of Public Works, Policy Research, Climate, Small Business/Community Development, and Investment/Pension. Research assistance includes literature reviews; data entry, cleaning, and analysis; and quality assurance and editing for reports, including policy research reports and mandated programmatic reports. Programmatic assistance includes drafting and editing internal and external documents, including newsletters, memos, and presentations. Administrative support includes meeting and event preparation, including Board of Public Works meetings, Comptroller Advisory Council meetings, and roundtables and conferences. Tasks include preparing materials, taking notes and identifying next steps/follow-up, and assisting with meeting RSVPs and setup. The PPI Associate is a highly motivated and organized self-starter and multi-tasker who works in a fast-paced and exciting environment, balancing a range of projects and essential duties.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
  • Experience: Three years of administrative staff or professional work.
  • Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to two years of the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from a college or university for the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included the regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
  • For education obtained outside of the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service. If you possess a degree obtained outside of the United States, please submit a detailed, course-by-course evaluation report from one of the U.S. equivalency evaluating members identified at http://www.naces.org/members.html
