About The Position
Assist special education teachers in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work under the supervision of a certified teacher. Involves working with children who have special needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Have met formal academic assessment, associate's degree, or two years of study at an institution of higher learning
- Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (District will make application to TEA once candidate is selected)
- Ability to work with adolescent children
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of general office equipment
