Marine Components Powertrain Development Engineering team is seeking a student for an 8-month Internship opportunity. The student must live near or be willing to relocate within driving distance from the plant that is in Loudon, TN. Start/completion dates listed below: Start date: May 2026, end of spring semester Completion date: December 2026 As part of Monsoon’s Powertrain Development team, students will have the opportunity to assist in, validation, continuous improvements, and process improvements of new designs and innovations for the Monsoon engine line. The position includes responsibilities that will allow students to build upon their current engineering foundation and passion for engines, marine industry and water sports. They will be challenged to identify opportunities for engine performance improvements, manufacturing process improvements, and designs to enhance the fit/form/function of current and new engine designs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years towards a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field
- Strong skills with hand tools and mechanical devices required
Nice To Haves
- Proficient in driving, docking, and trailering boats preferred
- Computer design experience in CAD modeling (Siemens NX and Solidworks) preferred
