What you’ll be challenged to do: The successful candidate will have a desire to learn the design aspects of various substation projects from 69kV up to 500kV. You will work with our senior staff learn and strengthen your understanding of designing utility class electrical substations In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Requirements

  • Associated Degree or pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 0-1 years of related experience in the substation or power industry.
  • Demonstrated interest in substation or power engineering through applied academic coursework, internships, or past experiences.
  • Working knowledge of CADD Software
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Good written and verbal communications skills

Responsibilities

  • Prepares plans and details with limited complexity in in support of broader engineering activities
  • Collects field data to be used for design.
  • Utilizes CADD to develop construction plans
  • Works within a design group to complete projects
