About The Position

The Power Technical Analyst would support the ongoing operations and future development of Trafigura's North American Power assets. This role involves supporting the Power Trading team to evaluate operational activities, propose and plan debottlenecks and beneficial projects, and support Due Diligence and M+A exercises around new Power asset acquisitions.

Requirements

• Engineering degree
• 5+ years of experience in Power plant Techno/Economic roles.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Power contracts preferable

Responsibilities

• Conduct economic analysis of existing Power plants and provide Technical and Economic updates to Trafigura Power desk and management.
• Ensure existing Power plant economic drives are being followed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Understand and manage Power plant reporting KPIs and challenge Power plant operations as necessary.
• Act as the single point of accountability between Trafigura's Commercial team and third-party Power plant operations.
• Participate in daily and weekly operations meetings with third-party operators.
• Review monthly reconciliations produced by third-party operators.
• Assess new business opportunities related to Power assets in conjunction with the Commercial team.
