The position involves diagnosing unit repair needs and performing designated repairs on company and customer owned commercial generators and engines as directed. The technician is expected to perform necessary troubleshooting and notify the Service Manager of any outstanding issues. The role requires completing tasks with no or limited supervision, demonstrating well-developed technical and troubleshooting skills along with strong analytical problem-solving abilities. Continuous self-development is encouraged, and the technician should seek opportunities to improve personal, technical, and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include verifying findings, reviewing readings of gauges and procedures, and comparing them to manufactured specifications. The technician will install, replace, rebuild, or repair parts and/or equipment in a timely manner according to specifications. Adherence to Foley safety policies and procedures is mandatory, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment and contamination control guidelines. The technician must be willing to respond to after-hour emergency calls as directed by the supervisor. Testing parts or equipment and performing quality checks after work completion is also required. At the end of the shift, securing all equipment and machinery and completing all required paperwork is essential.
