As a Power Systems Simulation & Modeling Engineer, you will support the development and grid integration of advanced distributed energy resource (DER) solutions by building, validating, and maintaining high-fidelity power system models. In this role, you’ll conduct steady-state and dynamic simulations to evaluate interconnection performance, benchmark models against hardware results, and optimize system behavior to meet evolving grid standards. You’ll also develop clear technical documentation and user guidance to support customers and internal teams. Working closely with cross-functional engineering groups, you’ll contribute to innovation in renewable energy and energy storage technologies while staying current on emerging modeling tools, methodologies, and industry requirements. General Responsibilities • Key participant in creating designs within inter-disciplinary teams to address complex product design and manufacturing challenges • Collaborates on feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs • Organizes development testing, engineering analysis, qualification testing, production launch • Key participant in failure analysis investigations and engineering evaluations • Maintains product documentation (drawings and specifications) and lessons including; producing design reports, test reports, operating manuals and test procedures • Collaborates with senior engineers/managers to engage with customers in soliciting product specifications requirements, schedule expectations and budget
