About The Position

As an electrical engineer for Undersea Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing Undersea Communication Systems. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: High Voltage DC Power systems / Module design. Experience should include multiple power topology design experience from few watts to KW+ converters. High voltage applications, power transmission systems, power electronics and HVDC technology

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Deep understanding of electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed Signal circuit analysis/design
  • Solid use of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories
  • Circuit Design expertise
  • Analog design and instrumentation (design and analysis)
  • Circuit board test and troubleshooting expertise
  • Strong troubleshooting ability: must be able to diagnose a problem by narrowing the point of failure sequentially through components
  • Experience in the use of specialized laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Experience in working in a lab environment building circuit cards, assemblies, and modules
  • Experience with Worst Case Circuit Analysis and FMEA for both design and diagnosis applications
  • Ahead of technology trends with Research & Development (R&D) experience, as well as advanced proficiency in test, troubleshooting, and analyzing circuit card schematics
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated success leading design teams for complex projects
  • Ability to travel as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Agile experience preferred.

  • Isolated Switching Converters
