About The Position

Produces all Electrical project deliverables, including electrical power system studies (ETAP, SKM, short circuit, load flow, etc.), electrical area classification drawings, one-line diagrams, schematics and wiring design; reviews/checks lighting, power, grounding, and raceway plan drawings, and specifies electrical equipment such as Motor Control Centers and Switchgear for LNG, Energy Transition, Carbon Capture, Refining and Petrochemical Plant projects. Additional Responsibilities: Reports to the Lead Electrical Engineer on a particular project. Monitors and advise Lead EE of changes. Understands design concepts and design data for scope assigned to him/her and assures technical accuracy and conformance to project requirements. Prepares Engineering Change Request as required. Keeps track of progress and updates schedules on particular tasks. Researches suitable solutions and estimated cost and timescales. Generates electrical equipment and construction specifications. Generates electrical equipment requisitions, evaluates quotes, manages PO's, reviews vendor documents. Evaluates the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project goals. Applies standard engineering tasks and exhibits a working knowledge of applicable codes. Reviews and generates design data from various inputs. Performs sophisticated and complicated designs and electrical calculations in accordance with established company standards. Coordinates details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplines. Assists designers and drafters in their assignments. Prepares and /or supervises engineering reports, studies, calculations and checks drawings as required. Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Must have Power Systems coursework or professional experience up to 2 years.
  • Foundational Power Systems knowledge required, Power Systems experience a plus.
  • EIT certification or the ability to complete EIT certification is required.
  • Good insightful, mathematical, database, spreadsheet, and computer skills.
  • Accurate with data and calculations and efficient with time.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
  • Employment is contingent upon proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
