About The Position

The Power Systems Applications Engineer position requires a comprehensive understanding of utility GRID applications such as SCADA, OMS, DMS, EMS, and DERM. The role involves applying functional and technical knowledge to support electric utility industry practices and applications. Candidates should have hands-on experience with electrical data modeling and be familiar with implementing application configurations for SCADA, OMS, DMS, and EMS software. Proven software design and development skills are essential, along with database skills in SQL/PLSQL. Familiarity with SDLC principles and methodologies like Lean, Agile, XP, CI, as well as software and product security, scalability, documentation practices, refactoring, and testing techniques is also required.

Requirements

• 8 - 19 years of experience in the electric utility industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Functional understanding of utility GRID applications.
• Hands-on experience with electrical data modeling.
• Proven software design and development skills.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to CIM and other model exchange formats.
• Knowledge of Outage Management, Distribution Management, or Energy Management applications.
