ETAP is seeking a Power System Engineer with expertise in modeling and control of renewable plants, microgrids, and inverter-based resources, and a passion for developing innovative software applications in this evolving space. As part of our Control R&D division, you'll contribute to cutting-edge tools that address complex challenges in the integration of renewable energy into the grid and microgrid systems.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant industry or academic experience
  • Hands-on experience in modeling and analysis of renewable power plants, microgrids, and grid codes
  • Strong understanding of power system control, dynamics, and optimization
  • Ability to interpret and follow industry standards to develop technical specifications
  • Demonstrated research, design, and testing capabilities
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and self-managed, with strong analytical skills
  • Basic programming knowledge in C++, C#, or Python

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ETAP or similar power system simulation tools is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and test software applications for modeling, control, and energy management of renewable energy systems
  • Develop technical specifications and validate advanced engineering solutions
  • Conduct engineering studies focused on renewable integration, microgrids, and plant-level control systems
