About The Position

LMI is seeking a motivated Power Platform Automation & App Development Intern to support business and IT teams by designing and delivering low-code solutions that streamline processes and improve efficiency. This internship provides hands-on experience building real-world applications and automated workflows using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, while working closely with stakeholders across the organization. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Available to work 10–12 weeks beginning June 2026
  • Authorized to work in the United States for any employer
  • Hands-on experience with Power Automate and/or Power Apps through coursework, projects, or internships
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services and common data sources
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building canvas Power Apps with user-friendly interfaces
  • Experience creating automated workflows that integrate multiple systems
  • Basic understanding of connectors, triggers, approvals, and error handling in Power Automate
  • Familiarity with Dataverse and environment management concepts
  • Exposure to Power BI or data visualization concepts (nice to have)
  • Interest in low-code/no-code development and process improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate
  • Develop and enhance low-code applications using Power Apps (primarily canvas apps)
  • Translate business and operational requirements into scalable automation and app solutions
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, Dataverse)
  • Test, troubleshoot, and optimize workflows and applications for performance and reliability
  • Document solutions, workflows, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Support governance, security, and best practices within the Power Platform environment
  • Participate in sprint planning, project meetings, and/or solution reviews
