The Colusa Generating Station (CGS) started commercial operations in December 2010. The plant is located in Maxwell, CA. This natural gas facility operates 24/7 and is capable of delivering up to668 MW of power output. The facility utilizes combined cycle technology with two General Electric7FA combustion turbines and one General Electric D-11 steam turbine. This is an International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1245 represented classification, which has over 100 years of experience representing employees at PG&E. This job is subject to collective bargaining. CGS is seeking an individual who will be assigned to duties related to the operation and maintenance of the generating station, including Control Room Operations, and supporting maintenance activities on plant equipment. The PPT assigned to operations will report to the Operation Supervisor and will be trained to become proficient in two skill block disciplines as required by written agreement. This position requires the PPT to work a rotating, 12-hour shift. PG&E is providing the hourly rate that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This position is subject to collectively bargained hourly wage rates and increases. The starting wage rate for this position is $66.62 per hour. This wage rate is specific to the locality of the job. The wage rate is based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity.
