About The Position

The Power Plant Operator at Alcoa is responsible for controlling the generation of electricity by operating and maintaining various fuel systems to ensure continuous electrical power for aluminum production. Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 3 years of full-time light to heavy industrial or power industry work experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work activities.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in fuel systems, boilers, turbines, electrostatic precipitators, condensate systems, feed water systems, and high voltage switching.

Responsibilities

• Operate compressors, pumps, pulverizers, boilers, turbine generators, and switchyard equipment.
• Maintain fuel systems such as ash and demineralizer to ensure continuous power supply.
• Perform physically demanding work activities as required.
