About The Position
Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Missouri Baptist is the first and only hospital in St. Louis County to be named a Magnet® hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The prestigious designation is the highest credential a health care organization can receive for nursing excellence and quality patient care. The Facilities Services Department provides security, telecommunications, housekeeping, maintenance and engineering services for the campus. The various departments work in partnership to ensure the campus, including all of its buildings, parking lots/garages, patient care and common areas are well maintained, clean, attractive, and secure.

Responsibilities
- Assigns work to power plant operators.
- Operates, repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains all physical plant equipment in compliance with all department procedures, policies, and all applicable compliance and federal, state and local regulations.
- Repairs, maintains, tests, operates, and documents fire alarm system and fire protection water systems in accordance with regulations.
- Monitors elevators and determines if service is to be dispatched. Repairs and maintains all pumps, refrigeration equipment and controls.
- Completes all safety documentation and logs.
