About The Position

The Maintenance Planner at Alcoa Corporation is responsible for enhancing workforce efficiency in the Power Plant by proactively addressing potential delays and ensuring the availability of resources for maintenance work. This role involves planning, estimating, scheduling, and managing maintenance tasks to support operational efficiency and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proven maintenance planning experience in heavy industry (aluminum, steel, mining, paper/pulp, etc.).
  • Experience in electrical or mechanical trade/industrial maintenance.
  • Proficient in using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Project.
  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.

Nice To Haves

  • CMRT, CMRP or similar certifications would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule maintenance work on daily, weekly, and shutdowns.
  • Track performance and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate work orders with maintenance support to manage backlogs efficiently.
  • Ensure timely availability of facilities, equipment, parts, materials, and special tools for maintenance work.
  • Provide all necessary documentation to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain close liaison with Operations, Stores, Engineering, and Maintenance personnel.
