GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an EIT 2 to work with the Power Generation Business Sector on primarily Power Generation projects and when needed other regional projects. GAI offers its employees the ability to work remotely or in a hybrid setting. The successful candidate will be working out of the Louisville, KY office and will perform both design and monitoring tasks under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer. Job Duties: Site Grading Plans Erosion and Sediment Control Plans Stormwater Management Plans Hydrologic and Hydraulic / Drainage Plans Utility Design and Relocation Plans Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans Geotechnical Investigations Permit Applications (earth disturbance permits, building permits, land development plans, high occupancy permits, etc.) Access Road Section Development Construction Drawings, Specifications, and Quality Control Plans Construction Cost Estimates Owner's Engineer Support During Construction Field Investigations Daily/Weekly Construction Inspections Earthwork Construction Quality Control Compaction Testing Concrete Testing ESC Inspections SWPPP Inspections Environmental Monitoring The candidate should have the desire and ability to travel to Project sites, as needed, primarily in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. Physical Requirements Ability to work indoors in professional office settings. Ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based tasks. Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling office equipment. Visual acuity to read printed materials, digital screens, detailed documents, and perform detailed work. Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching within the office environment. Ability to move between workstations and attend in-person meetings. Ability to lift and carry office materials or equipment weighing up to 10-20 pounds, with or without assistance. Adequate hearing to participate in conversations, phone calls, and virtual meetings. Ability to travel for meetings, training, or business purposes. General Characteristics Acquires fundamental knowledge and develops skills in a specific practice area through mentored experience.
