Dominion Energy Virginia's Power Generation Group seeks an Engineer with strong Electrical Power Systems background to support the Power Generation (Non-Nuclear Fleet) synchronous and inverter-based fleet. This support includes, but is not limited to the following functions: Perform power systems analysis (Short circuit, load flow, overcurrent coordination, and arc flash analysis) as needed in support of plant capital projects, as well as daily operations. Develop and maintain electrical system models to support such studies. Provide technical support and identify process improvement opportunities based on incident investigations, root cause analysis, and industry best practices. Support Fleet wide compliance efforts of NERC Modeling, Data, and Analysis (MOD), Protection and Control (PRC), and Facilities Design, Connections, and Maintenance (FAC) standards. Perform protective relay settings calculations; develop logic diagrams and other documentation as needed to ensure adequate protection of Generators, Transformers, Motors, Buses, and other major plant equipment. Evaluate design of new/proposed generation and/or the impact of changes to existing plant electrical distribution systems. Perform unit uprate suitability studies. Oversee electrical equipment installation and provide commissioning support of electrical equipment, such as Switchgear, Transformers and Motors. Perform other duties related to power systems as requested or assigned.
