About The Position

Power Electronics Systems Engineer The Opportunity: As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to delivering innovative energy infrastructure that enhances client energy resilience. We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to lead technical planning, design, and procurement of long duration energy storage technology and integrating components. The right engineer can also provide technical oversight of electrical system installation and commissioning. At Booz Allen, you’ll use your engineering skills to transform Department of Defense energy resilience. Our team develops and delivers innovative technical solutions that enhance energy resilience for critical missions. That’s why we need you, an experienced electrical engineer with expert knowledge of power systems and long duration energy storage, to help us design and develop a project that exceeds client expectations. On our team, you’ll work with a multi-disciplinary team on a high visibility project that defines the ways to implement long duration energy storage solutions for others to follow. You’ll impact critical Department of Defense missions by creating and delivering new ways to ensure they have the energy required when the nation calls. We’ll look to you to share your electrical engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. This is a chance to use your engineering and leadership skills while gaining experience in energy storage projects, grid integration, project planning, and team leadership. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in power electronics, including power subsystems
  • Experience prototyping new products
  • Ability to design and deliver complex electrical system designs and projects
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to produce integrated hardware and software products
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the Department of Defense or other federal energy projects
  • Knowledge of military tactical energy systems

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
