About The Position

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Distributed Controls and Sensors seeks a professional, innovative, and detail-oriented individual for our Power/Electrical Engineering Intern position in Boise, Idaho! As a Power Engineering Intern, a typical day might include the following: Provide technical support to SEL staff & customers. Develop and maintain knowledge in SEL processes and technologies. Perform testing on new and existing technology. Document and communicate test results. Location Boise, ID- This position is located in Boise, ID, capital of the gem state, and on the Boise River in the southwestern part of the state. Pay Range Data ($17.50 - $32.50 per hour) Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Requirements

  • You have two to three years undergraduate studies in electrical engineering, with an emphasis in power systems.
  • You have the ability and willingness to work full-time during the summer and part-time during the school year.
  • You have the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Practical knowledge of 3-phase power systems.
  • Basic understanding of signals and systems.
  • Working knowledge of modern test equipment (e.g. power supplies, digital oscilloscopes).
  • Practical knowledge of SEL protective relays & automation controllers.
