About The Position

Lead a team of subject matter experts for control wiring and harness development Assist in COE design reviews for key customers: Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Ensure designs are optimized for contracted configuration variability Develop and drive plans towards EPLAN implementation across all Custom Order engineering team Develop and drive harness capabilities in the business Manage a team of engineers, drafters, and technician Ensure compliance to all applicable national and local electrical codes and standards as they relate to the products we produce (UL, NEC, NEMA, OSPHD). Develop standards around best wire modeling practices Develop technical communications: datasheets, interface control documents, test plans, etc. Design, model, and test product prototypes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR a Master's of Business Administration from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with wire automation software.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a leader of people.
  • At least 10 years of design experience with LV electrical distribution equipment.
  • Certification for Design for Six Sigma
  • At least 2 years of experience designing products under UL 50, UL67, and UL 891 standards.
  • At least 2 years of experience with EPLAN software package.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Autodesk Inventor.
  • At least 5 years as a manager of people.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment.
  • Proficiency in Engineering software/tools (AutoCAD, Enovia)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Able to travel up to 20%
