Power Bi Reporting Long Term Intern
About The Position

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis is seeking well-rounded and motivated individuals to join our Solutions and Engineering team. The student filling this position will handle a wide range of important duties. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Intern with strong experience in building paginated reports and writing Oracle and SQL Server stored procedures. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, performance-optimized reporting solutions that support business decision-making. This internship will follow our hybrid workforce model and will be required to be located in or around the Indianapolis area.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Power BI, especially paginated reports.
- Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server T-SQL.
- Experience with Power BI Report Builder and Power BI Service.
- Solid understanding of data modeling.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Interns are paid a competitive hourly rate.
- Our intern program is for students that have completed at least their sophomore year.
- Graduate students and MBA students are highly encouraged to apply.
- Applicants should be majoring in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, or a similar field study.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Power BI DAX and Power Query (M).
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or version control tools like Git.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy Power BI paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder.
- Write and optimize Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server T-SQL stored procedures to support reporting needs.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure data accuracy, performance, and scalability of reports and queries.
- Maintain and enhance existing reports and data models.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integrity, performance, and report rendering.
