About The Position

Valiant Solutions is seeking a Power BI Analyst to join our rapidly growing and innovative cybersecurity team! The Power BI Analyst is responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that inform business and operational decisions. This position collaborates closely with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, design, and develop interactive dashboards and reports that clearly and effectively communicate complex information. The Analyst will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data within BI systems, while translating business needs into technical solutions that drive performance and support mission-critical operations. This role requires a blend of analytical, technical, and communication skills to bridge the gap between data and decision-making within a large federal enterprise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field such as Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Networking, or Telecommunications.
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience designing and developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate or other relevant certifications.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in data modeling techniques.
• Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and visualize data to support business intelligence and operational reporting needs.
• Experience with data transformation, ETL processes, and connecting to various data sources.
• Demonstrated understanding of data governance, accuracy, and integrity within BI systems.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with technical teams, analysts, and leadership stakeholders.
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a federal security badge.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data needs, gather reporting requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
• Transform, clean, and model data from multiple sources to ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity within BI systems.
• Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and key performance indicators that support strategic and operational decisions.
• Ensure data quality and accuracy by implementing validation checks and maintaining secure, compliant data environments.
• Optimize Power BI performance by improving data refresh schedules, query efficiency, and visualization responsiveness.
• Provide technical support and training to end users on Power BI tools, features, and best practices.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align BI initiatives with broader program goals, ensuring data transparency and accessibility.
• Maintain documentation of data models, report logic, and dashboard structures to ensure continuity and compliance.
• Support continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to reporting frameworks, data pipelines, and visualization standards.
