The Power Applications Test Engineer is responsible for executing advanced power characterization, validation, and qualification testing to support Amphenol Commercial Group's next-generation power interconnect products. This role operates within the Global Engineering Services Power Application Center and collaborates closely with product engineering, design teams, BU engineering, and customers. The engineer will design, conduct, and interpret complex power and thermal tests-including resistance, current carrying capability, thermal derating, efficiency, and reliability evaluations-to provide accurate and actionable data for New Product Development (NPD), Sustaining Engineering, and Product Qualification (PQ). This position requires hands-on experience with high-current test systems, power analyzers, thermal measurement equipment, data acquisition systems, and detailed test reporting. The engineer will also support the development of new test methodologies, lab capability expansion, and standardization across Amphenol's global power product portfolio. This role is a critical part of GES's strategy to support the rapid growth of high-current and power-dense solutions across Amphenol's Commercial Group. The Power Applications Test Engineer will directly contribute to new technology evaluation, customer program success, and industry-leading test capability.
