About The Position

We're hiring a Power & Performance Tester in Spring, TX for a 10-month contract with a global technology company. If you're a PC enthusiast who loves digging into how systems actually work—not just checking boxes—this is your chance to work on real product validation for a major brand. What You'll Do: Test and validate new software releases to ensure they don't negatively impact battery life or system performance Analyze power consumption behavior across PC platforms and identify software-related issues Work with new technology inputs from engineering teams to assess how upcoming software solutions affect device performance Conduct cross-functional checks to ensure new software doesn't conflict with existing system components Go beyond surface-level testing—dig into results, identify anomalies, and clearly communicate risks to engineering teams Apply hands-on PC hardware knowledge to investigate system behavior and performance patterns Why This Role? This isn't typical software testing. You'll be working on a key initiative that directly impacts product performance and customer experience for a major PC manufacturer. If you're the type who builds PCs for fun, tweaks settings to squeeze out better performance, or just loves understanding how hardware and software interact, this role lets you turn that passion into real work with a global tech company. The Details: 10-month contract in Spring, TX. This is hands-on, technical work that requires someone who genuinely enjoys this stuff—not just someone looking for any testing job.
