About The Position

Wheeler’s Power and Energy (P&E) Oil and Gas Account Representative is an outside sales representative responsible for their safety and the revenue performance of their assigned customers based in the Electric Power and or Oil & Gas markets. This individual reports to the P&E Product Support Sales Manager and will be responsible for developing, expanding, and deepening existing customer relationships. This person will be the primary Product Support point of contact for the customer.

Requirements

  • Proven successful sales experience in a technical field--preferably within the electric power generation or oil and gas industry.
  • Understanding electric power generation types and the trade-offs and applications of when they are best suited in electric power and oil & gas.
  • Able to work with Wheeler P&E Product Support Sales Manager to ensure plans maintain alignment with Caterpillar core business and Campbell Companies/Wheeler priorities.
  • Team player with demonstrated success and competency in working with external parties (customer executives, suppliers, contractors) and related documents (specifications, change orders, contract documents.)
  • Positive team focused attitude.
  • Excellent communication skill—especially writing and listening with the intent to understand.
  • Excellent abilities to organize, manage time and priorities, and give attention to detail.
  • Must be willing to work and travel the hours required to meet or exceed goals and objectives.
  • Obtain and maintaining CDL is required.
  • Minimum four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a forward-looking view of addressable market opportunities based on intelligence from Caterpillar, trusted industry sources, and relevant feedback from customers.
  • Assess and reports on customer’s performance and needs on a regular basis to P&E Product Support Sales Manager and makes recommendations for how to achieve revenue targets and meet customer needs.
  • Help develop an individual learning plan and meaningful SMART goals each year, and be accountable for executing those plans, expectations, and goals.
  • Meet with customers in-person on a regular basis to build stronger long-term relationships and trust with the representative and Wheeler Machinery.
  • Provide single point of Contact for Oil and Gas Customers for any needs related to their success.
  • Build and present estimates to customers using CRM and PSE data provided by Cat.
  • Maintain key data within CRM tool.
  • Deliver parts to customers on an as-needed basis.
  • Coordinate work with service and parts department to ensure they are aware of latest customer needs and priorities; ensure customers are updated with realistic expectations on a regular basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
