About The Position

Working under the direction of the Production Supervisor, assists with coordination of day-to-day operation of the Production department.

Requirements

  • Completion of High School.
  • Previous supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership skills to manage performance and inspire team to achieve results.
  • Communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Strong operating skills in organizing, planning and time management, as well as getting work done through others with the ability to manage and measure team members work progress.
  • Action oriented with a strong bias for action to resolve issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates day-to-day operation of the production department.
  • Develop the company’s culture and overall company vision.
  • Monitors production lines and work areas.
  • Visually inspects work areas and production equipment.
  • Ensures equipment works efficiently and safely.
  • Directs, assigns work to, corrects, disciplines, trains, and evaluates personnel.
  • Identifies problems and develops appropriate solutions.
  • Communicates frequently with Production Supervisor regarding production, product quality, product safety, and personnel safety.
  • Maintains positive employee relations within the departments.
  • Train, follow, and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
  • Ensure a safe working environment.
  • Enforces company rules, such as attendance, food safety, production quality, safety, GMPs, and efficiency.
  • Provides corrective coaching to employees when non-conformances occur.
  • Escalates to the Production Supervisor when disciplinary action is required.
  • Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Lead Production Operators to achieve production goals
  • Contact maintenance team when required to ensure minimal downtime
  • Holds daily staff meeting and organizes manpower to meet production needs.
  • Production Lead must follow all company policies, SOP’s and safety policies including OHSA regulations at all times.
