About The Position

This position is responsible and accountable for overall coating application of powder on parts. They are responsible for operating and maintain paint booths. Ensures customer satisfaction within the guidelines, objectives and policies of the organization.

Requirements

• Experience with metal and aluminum coating processes and procedures.
• Good attention to detail and ability to detect surface defects.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills along with the ability to train, coach, motivate, and organize a production work group.
• Ability to learn JobBoss and WorkStation Driver
• Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 and AAMA 2605

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience/certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Painting experience in a production work setting.
• Applying powder coatings using electrostatic spray equipment.
• GEMA equipment.
• Operate and maintain powder coating booth, paint guns, and related equipment
• Identify and correct coating defects such as runs, sags, or thin spots
• Inspect finished products for quality, color consistency, and uniform coverage
• Ability to read prints, travelers, and TDS/SDS to discern the quality of parts being processed
• Ability to set up and maintain all paint systems to insure maximum productivity
• Maintains inventor of powder utilized - ensure you practice FIFO.
• Trains and monitors new painters
• Keep work area clean and organized; perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Record production data, including materials used, time, quality readings, and any issues encountered
• Perform touch-ups or rework as needed to meet quality standards.
• Performs all other duties as assigned
