About The Position

The Paint Shop Technician is responsible for general labor, such as hanging, cleaning, grinding or other related manual labor work associated with the paint shop.

Requirements

• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly.
• Interpret instructions on a work order, drawing or other related document.
• High school diploma or GED (equivalent).
• One (1) or more years of experience in a similar or related position in a manufacturing environment.
• Prolonged standing, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting at a workstation or within walking distance of the station.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at times.
• Must be able to work in heat environment during summer months and cold environment during winter months.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating machines that paint or coat products
• Selecting the paint or coating needed for the job
• Cleaning and preparing products to be painted or coated
• Applying paint or coating
• Measuring the thickness of paint or coating material applied
• Cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas
• Any other duty as assigned.
