About The Position

OVERVIEW Cadrex is searching for a Powder Coat Technician II who will be responsible for preparing substrates for the powder application process including hanging, washing, plugging, scrubbing, taping, and sanding parts.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, memos, and simple instructions
• Knowledge of basic business math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years’ experience in related setting may be substituted in lieu of degree
• Associate/Technical degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety regulations
• Train on an ongoing basis for the powder application process
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designer
• Perform quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan (including documentation of results)
• Uphold site efficiency standards
• Learn and demonstrate continuous improvement for site Safety and Quality standards and procedures
• Understand color changeovers and powder application process
• Develop advanced technical knowledge of the wash process and chemical usage
• Work completely independently without supervision
• Meet or exceed company PPM level standards by consistently producing quality work
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the assigned work center
• Retain knowledge from each job
• Achieve and maintain any certifications required in the work area
• Cross-trained in multiple workstations
• Assist in preventative maintenance of the equipment
