This is a full-time position with a local facility focusing on metal fabrication. We are seeking an experienced Powder Coater who will be involved in set up and implementation of a new powder coat line. Must have at least 5 years of Powder Coat experience. Requirements
- Previous experience in powder coating and industrial painting required.
- Familiarity with spray equipment, curing ovens, and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and production schedules.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Team player with good communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Responsibilities
- Prepare and clean metal surfaces for coating, including sanding, masking, and applying pre-treatment.
- Apply powder coating materials to a variety of fabricated parts using spray equipment.
- Operate and maintain powder coating equipment, ovens, and spray guns.
- Ensure proper curing of coated parts by monitoring oven temperatures and bake times.
- Inspect finished products for quality, coverage, and adherence to company standards.
- Touch up, rework, or recoat parts when necessary.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Assist with material handling, hanging, and packaging of finished products.
- Collaborate with production team to meet daily schedules and deadlines.
