FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Primary Job function: Set-up and run powder coat line, coating a variety of parts to cosmetic standards and Q-chips. Creates quality color chips for production controls based on manufacturer, color and texture of surface. Manages powder inventory. Supervises powder coat helpers to a certain degree. Advises for proper surface finishes as needed to achieve powder coat cosmetics. Performs other duties as assigned. Note: This position operates on Day Shift (6:00am – 2:30pm) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Follows department standard operating procedures. Directing the loading carriers of parts to and from phosphate line for cleaning; Racking/un-racking, and masking/un-masking parts on the powder line Powder coat all parts with powder equipment Managing parts and equipment through the baking/curing cycle Finishes parts as directed. Inspects product to cosmetic standards as each step of the process is completed. Loads/unloads materials, parts or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyor, or trucks, either manually or using a hoist. Follows established safety protocols including required usage of PPE; helps to maintain a safe working environment. Keeps work area clean and organized. Performs other duties as assigned.
