This role plays a critical part in overall success of the farm operations within the vaccination crew. This crew has primary responsibilities for the animal care and welfare of the birds.
Requirements
Ability to understand oral and written instructions and perform simple tasks
Ability to perform work that is repetitive in nature
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to grip, grasp, or twist using hands and wrist
Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50lbs
Bend and stoop throughout the shift
Nice To Haves
Animal husbandry experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
Work with day old chicks
Collect birds for moving, weighing, and vaccinations
Collect blood samples, band/tag or remove tags from birds
Follow Animal Care Standards, Animal Welfare Guidelines, and Bio-Security policies and procedures
Work with chemicals such as detergents, disinfectants, etc.
Perform essential duties in a safe and efficient manner as trained
Be around farm related smells or odors and loud/noisy environment
May work up to 6 days a week, including weekends and holidays
