About The Position

This Pouch Operator position is in the Operations Department and is responsible for operating Pouch 1 & 2 to produce bubble pouches. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required
  • Ability to work in space limited work area on continuous basis.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
  • General computer knowledge and experience handling paperwork
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role following recommended practices, with an emphasis on safety and injury prevention

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ Years in a Manufacturing environment / machine operator experience preferred.
  • Inventory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to set-up, operate and troubleshoot equipment and processes.
  • Ensure first offs are completed as per technical specifications.
  • Ensure changeover is completed as per standard.
  • Ensure equipment and set-up parameters are established, followed, and improved.
  • Coaching and mentoring of assistants and helpers by providing clear and precise instructions, if assigned
  • Ensure materials required for changeover are available and secured prior to set-ups.
  • Ensure product is packed and identified as per specifications.
  • Ensure accurate inventory and effective control of materials and supplies.
  • Ensure work-center’s downtime is minimized by ensuring proper equipment set-ups, material is present prior to changeover and report lack of raw materials, tooling and / or equipment issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Oversee the assistants and helpers/packers and provide clear and precise instructions to them.
  • All duties outlined in the assistant job description.
  • All other duties as assigned.
