About The Position

A Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning dishes in a food service environment to ensure that the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, and glasses. The Potwasher’s duties include prioritizing loads of different types of crockery and kitchenware, hand-washing dishes, loading the dishwasher and placing dishes to dry. As a dishwasher, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen. Your hard work and dedication will contribute to the overall success of our culinary team. This position requires a flexible work schedule within a 24/7 work environment.

Requirements

  • Availability to work day shift, night shift, overnight, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Flexible work schedule and ability to adapt to changes easily and periodically
  • Bilingual, Spanish/ English is a must
  • Teamwork, Team player oriented
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and systematic work ethic and practices
  • The passion for perfect order, cleanliness and great attention to detail is a must
  • Sense of urgency in execution of delegated duties
  • Ability to coordinate quick solutions ensuring the internal supply chain is fulfilled throughout shift
  • Strong sense of workplace safety, OSHA knowledge or certification is a plus
  • ServSafe certification or the equivalent is required
  • Work daily in changing temperature environments: warm, hot, cold, very cold including freezers
  • Regularly lift and move equipment (up to 30 pounds unassisted)
  • Regularly bending, twisting, turning, reaching, pulling, pushing, moving racks, bins, dishes, equipment
  • Regularly Standing while performing the duties of the job

Responsibilities

  • Wash, sanitize, air dry, and redistribute pots, pans, and other food preparation equipment.
  • Operate large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
  • Unload the cutlery and dishes while loading and organizing them into trays for the washer.
  • Wash and sanitize by hand any larger pans and pots which the commercial dishwasher cannot accommodate.
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
  • Complies with all outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
