We are seeking applicants from a broad range of neuroscience subfields for a postdoctoral teaching fellow in neuroscience and behavioral biology. The successful applicant will have teaching responsibilities, equivalent to four courses per year, which include an introductory neuroscience course (Neuroethology) and co-teaching a lab in behavioral neuroscience, as well as topic courses in the candidate's area of expertise designed for 1st and 2nd year undergraduate students. The fellow will receive structured mentoring and professional development to prepare for a full-time faculty position, receive training in inclusive pedagogy, support for research with undergraduate students and grant writing, and have opportunities to engage in the academic, social, and cultural life of Oxford College. The goal of the postdoctoral teaching fellow program is to support the mentoring of fellows and equip them with pedagogical skills for a full-time faculty position. Although the advancement of a research program is not required or expected, interested fellows will also have the opportunity to mentor undergraduate research students, collaborate on research projects with existing faculty, and/or conduct independent research. Logistical and financial support is available for these endeavors.
