Principal Investigator, Caroline Jefferies, PhD is searching for a Postdoctoral Scientist to join diverse team! The Jefferies lab is focused on understanding pathways in lupus, a debilitating, chronic autoimmune disease that presents as a broad spectrum of symptoms and manifestations. This is an opportunity to join an interdisciplinary team that is working to uncover the molecular pathology driving the systemic autoimmune disease Lupus. The goal will be to investigate how immuno-metabolism affects the phenotype of Lupus monocytes and whether this contributes to cardiovascular risk in Lupus. The Postdoctoral Scientist works independently but in close cooperation and consultation with the Principal Investigator and other Research Scientists. The incumbent will perform routine and complex laboratory procedures throughout training period. May develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols. Analyzes and interprets data.
