About The Position
The food animal microbiomes laboratory (Ganda Lab at Penn State - https://sites.psu.edu/gandalab) of Dr. Erika Ganda in the Department of Animal Science is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar. The position will be involved in experiments investigating various aspects of the microbiome in production animals, including but not limited to cattle and poultry. Projects may span from field experiments to bacterial isolation and characterization and computational approaches, depending on the candidate's background and interests. Experience in molecular techniques, microbiome research and data analysis are required. Experience food animal microbiomes research is preferred, but not required. Must be able to work independently and as a team. Written communication skills are important and must be able to effectively write scientific manuscripts.
