Requirements

• PhD in a relevant field.

• Experience in writing scientific papers and grant writing is desirable.
• Organizational and project management skills.
• Leadership, coordination, and/or supervision skills.
• Data collection, processing, and analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

• A PhD in microbiology or a related field with an emphasis on bacterial evolution is desirable.
• Skills in microbiology, bioinformatics, protein biochemistry, immunology, or epidemiology are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Writing scientific manuscripts and grants, collaborating with others to generate papers and submit research proposals.
• Communicating research progress and scientific information to various audiences through presentations at conferences or invited lectures.
• Conducting laboratory and/or computational research involving bacterial genomic and phenotypic analysis, depending on the project.
• Mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory work, computational analysis, and communication skills.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
