Dr. Blair's lab has demonstrated that molecular chaperones are key regulators of protein homeostasis. There are approximately 150 chaperones in humans, and we speculate that each of these could be a drug target for human diseases. Currently, our group is involved in drug development and target validation for the chaperone proteins in neuropsychiatric disorders including, PTSD and Alzheimer’s disease. We are looking for an ambitious post-doctoral candidate. Skill sets that we are particularly interested in are: 1) molecular chaperone biology, 2) mouse models, and 3) neurobiology.
