About The Position
Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Postdoctoral Scholar, Neuropsychiatry to join our Neuroscience Discovery group based in San Diego, CA, USA. The successful candidate will lead efforts in conducting in vitro and ex vivo neuropharmacology studies to support Johnson & Johnson’s Neuropsychiatry Portfolio. The candidate will perform molecular and cellular biology experiments and use induced pluripotent stem cell-derived multicellular cultures, primary cell cultures, rodent tissues, and other disease-relevant preclinical models to study the dysregulation of excitatory and inhibitory neurotransmission as it relates to neuropsychiatric disorders. They will spend a majority of their time in the lab in these efforts, generating high quality results that will be essential in progressing our understanding of pathophysiology of selected neuropsychiatric disorders as well as progressing potential new drug candidate for their treatment.
