About The Position

The Biomolecular and Biomimetic Materials Laboratory in the Biomedical Engineering Department is seeking to hire two Postdoctoral Scholars to conduct independent research under the direction of Dr. Yong Wang. Working in a collaborative multidisciplinary team, the postdoctoral candidate will conduct extensive research to develop biomimetic extracellular matrices and cell walls using aptamers and hydrogels for protein and cell delivery. Responsibilities of the position include developing novel aptamer-based biomaterials or drug delivery systems for regenerative medicine, cancer immunotherapy, genome editing, and cell regulation.

Requirements

• Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in Biomedical Engineering or related discipline by the time of appointment.
• Expertise in biomaterials, cell biology, and genome editing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent research under the direction of Dr. Yong Wang.
• Develop biomimetic extracellular matrices and cell walls using aptamers and hydrogels.
• Create novel aptamer-based biomaterials or drug delivery systems for regenerative medicine.
• Engage in research for cancer immunotherapy, genome editing, and cell regulation.
