About The Position

The Eberly College of Science, Department of Physics at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking to fill one Postdoctoral Scholar position in Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO) Physics. The successful candidate will participate in the research program of Dr. Bryce Gadway's lab, focusing on experimental research related to quantum simulation with ultracold atoms and Rydberg atom arrays. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research in the field of AMO physics, contributing to advancements in quantum technologies and experimental methodologies. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in at least one of the following fields: atomic physics, quantum simulation experiments, laser physics and quantum optics, and quantum engineering. The research will involve hands-on experimentation, data analysis, and collaboration with other researchers in the lab. Candidates should be prepared to work in a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment, where innovative ideas and approaches are encouraged. The position is a term appointment, funded for one year from the date of hire, with the possibility of re-funding based on performance and funding availability.
