Regular, Part-Time (90% FTE), RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the Department of Tropical Medicine, Medical Microbiology and Pharmacology at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, located in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws. MONTHLY SALARY RANGE: $4,500 - $5,500/Mon. (@90% FTE) DUTIES: Designs and conducts research on studying the humoral and cellular immune responses after dengue and/or other flavivirus infection or vaccination including sequencing and generation of monoclinal antibodies from memory B-cells. Develops different serological assays using virions or virus-like particles formed by expression of dengue or other flavivirus precursor membrane and envelope proteins. Works with human blood products and pathogens within federal/state laws, rules, regulations and systems. Carries out in vitro experiments of molecular biology, virology and immunology. Collects and analyzes experimental data. Summarizes the results for presentation and publications.
