About The Position

The Postdoctoral Researcher in AI and Medical Image Analysis will engage in cutting-edge research focused on applying artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to medical imaging. This role is designed to enhance the candidate's professional skills and research independence, preparing them for an academic career. The researcher will collaborate with biomedical engineers and clinicians to develop innovative AI/ML tools aimed at improving diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment response prediction for various diseases, particularly cancer. The position involves conducting experiments, publishing research findings, and potentially leading independent research projects under the guidance of a Principal Investigator.

Requirements

• PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrable record of accomplishment in medical image analysis, computer vision, and image registration.
• Experience in Python programming is required.
• Additional experience with C++, JAVA, or R is a plus.
• Publications in high-impact journals and conferences are highly desirable.

• Skills in computer vision and medical image analysis.
• Experience with foundation models and multi-modal integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct research in AI and machine learning for medical applications.
• Collaborate with biomedical engineers and expert clinicians on multi-modal medical imaging research.
• Assist the Principal Investigator in designing and evaluating experiments.
• Develop new ideas to promote current research initiatives.
• Prepare and publish scientific manuscripts under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
• Oversee quality assurance of research conducted by team members.
• Aid in writing publications, IRB, and biosafety approval documents.
• Assist in grant applications and may lead independent research projects with approval.
