The Fonoudi Laboratory in the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and creative Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our growing team. Our lab focuses on developing advanced human cardiac organoid systems to uncover the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying congenital and acquired cardiovascular diseases. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of stem cell biology, cardiovascular development, and translational disease modeling using cutting-edge technologies such as: Human iPSC culture and directed cardiac differentiation Multicellular cardiac organoid engineering 3D bioprinting CRISPR-based genome editing Single-cell transcriptomics and spatial omics Advanced imaging and quantitative image analysis Functional assays for cardiac physiology and cell–cell interactions This position offers a unique opportunity to lead high-impact research projects, contribute to manuscripts in top-tier journals, and develop an independent scientific vision within a highly collaborative environment.
